For the release of Ghostbusters: Legacy, the sci-fi film and the brand Bape are teaming up for a new collaboration that will delight fans of ghosts and little monkeys.
The famous logo of the ghost crossed out by a no-traffic sign will rub shoulders with the no less famous logo of the little monkey named Baby Milo. To coincide with the theatrical release of the sci-fi film Ghostbusters: Afterlife on December 1, the franchise is teaming up with A Bathing Ape for a new collaboration that will bring together fans of both worlds.
On the one hand, the reboot of Ghostbusters, a 1984 feature film that has become a pop culture staple. Directed by Jason Reitman, son of the original film’s director, it features the grandchildren of Egon Spengler, a member of the famous ghost hunting team. Former members of the team make a few cameos in the new film.
On the other hand, Baby Milo, the emblematic character of the Japanese brand A Bathing Ape, or Bape, specialising in luxury urban clothing. In the 2000s, the brand’s popularity exploded as it dressed several Hip Hop stars including Pharrell Williams and Kanye West, who have since collaborated with Bape.
With the Bape x Ghostbusters collaboration, two iconic logos are now side by side. T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, sneakers, a complete collection, mixing ghosts and monkeys, to pay tribute to the return of the Ghostbusters and their famous red and white customised Cadillac.
