The triple-stripe brand is still celebrating the Superstar’s 50th anniversary and has given Queen Bey carte blanche to put her own spin on the cult sneakers. The result? An extravagant platform shoe with a sharp cap.
Opinion is fairly mixed on social media but one thing’s for sure: everyone’s still talking about Beyoncé. The German brand unveiled the design from the Black Is King star a few hours ago. The iconic adidas Originals still have the white leather upper and three black stripes. So far, the design and colours don’t really differ from the Superstar OG. However, the sole is what makes a real statement. A rubber panel sits on the sculptural rubber platform midsole to form a sharp cap at the front of the toebox. The co-branding appears on the insole. Available on the adidas app from September 18th, fashionistas will be able to get their hands on them for £180.
Brut, chunky et futuriste, le design de la adidas Superstar x Beyoncé a reçu une déferlante de commentaires négatifs sur Twitter et Instagram. Et vous, qu’en pensez-vous ?
