Fila x WOOD WOOD: the 70s collab inspired by tennis

The Scandinavian brand Wood Wood is delving into the Italian brand Fila’s archives. Result: sleek contemporary pieces with a 70s vibe celebrating tennis.

When you have such a great legacy in the world of sport, and particularly tennis like Fila, it would be a shame not to use it. That’s why Wood Wood, the Copenhagen brand founded by Karl-Oskar Olsen, went wild for this collaboration. “We wanted to revisit this golden era of FILA tennis and especially the Björn Borg years. Each item from the capsule has an authentic feel to it,” the designer told our colleagues at I-D. The simple yet sophisticated sporty range is brought to life by a colour palette blending brown, orange and off-white.

The womenswear and menswear collection includes pieces such as crewnecks, t-shirts, a tracksuit and a dress. The dress is the highlight of the collection and pairs a statement terracotta knit top with a pleated skirt. There are also accessories such as a cap, socks and sneakers: FILA Town by W.W. A soft leather silhouette oozing classic timeless style.

The Fila by Wood Wood collaboration is available to preview on the Wood Wood website . It will officially launch on the Fila website and some retailers on February 25th.
