Gucci x The North Face: the collaboration is fully unveiled

We saw teasers of the Gucci x The North Face collaboration in September but it’s finally been unveiled in each and every detail. You couldn’t find a more stylish and feminine outdoor collection.

A 70s hike

It’s definitely one of the landmark capsules for 2021. It’s a big thing when you think that the Italian brand run by artistic director Alessandro Michele isn’t used to this kind of operation. And it’s this very sense of rarity that has sent the fashion world wild. Gucci has decided to delve into the 70s with a mountain hike joined by The North Face. And they certainly didn’t settle for an extensive wardrobe of colours, retro styles, signature chain prints, florals or monograms. The fashion designer and responsible outdoor expert also put their own spin on camping equipment: tents, sleeping bags and backpacks. It’s all depicted in a stunning campaign in the Alps on vintage film by Daniel Shea.

Never-before-seen pieces

When you see it up close, it’s even more fabulous. Quilted down appears on puffer jackets and body warmers, backpacks, all-in-ones as well as maxi dresses and completely unique salopette dresses. The fusion of the two logos strikes the perfect balance and appears on seriously stylish pieces like Gucci’s signature silk pussybow blouses. Let’s not forget the only pair of shoes in the collection: hiking boots in brown or white tones with a chunky heel and statement branding. There’s no space for minimalism in this glam and joyful outdoor collection by Gucci x The North Face that’s a breath of fresh air for winter 2020/2021.

The collection drops on January 9th and is bound to be a huge hit.
