Heaven by Marc Jacobs pays tribute to Virgin Suicides

Iconic designer Marc Jacobs’ Heaven label has unveiled its stunning Autumn/Winter 2021 collection. A long-time friend of Sofia Coppola, the designer once again pays homage to the film “Virgin Suicides” through designs largely inspired by the 90s.

For its Autumn/Winter 2021 collection, Marc Jacobs’ Heaven label was inspired by the 1999 cult film The Virgin Suicides by Sofia Coppola. The no gender line includes silhouettes from the 90s, such as t-shirts, skirts, hoodies and jackets with images from the film. There are also various teddy bear prints, floral dresses and a sleeveless jumper with a print from Spielberg’s film “E-T”. The campaign features celebrities such as Iris Law, Adut Akech and Teez Touchdown.

The brand also enlisted the help of artists such as Katherine Bernhardt, Nathalie Nguyen of Happy.99, ANCCO, Julian Consuegra of Stray Rats, Cynthia Lu of Cactus Plant Flea Market, Elliot Shields and Chris Cadaver to design products. While the collection was launched on Mental Health Day (October 10), a portion of the proceeds are donated to the LGBTQ+ support organisation Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.

The Heaven by Marc Jacobs FW21 collection is now available online and in Marc Jacobs shops.
