2020 was a year high in emotion and drops which the Nike x Stüssy collab is keeping alive. The duo is tackling the “Hand-Dyed” Air Force 1 model.
There’s no stopping them. Following the successful collaborations on the Spiridon and Air Force 1, Nike and Stüssy have just unveiled that a new drop is on the way. The AF1 may be Nike’s best-seller but this release should appeal to those who love unique and ethical kicks.
The Californian brand has brought in Lookout & Wonderland – a small LA-based company specialising in natural fibres – to hand-dye a batch in five unique colours. Blue, green, yellow, purple and red were all concocted using ethically-picked plant-based dyes chosen to represent each of Stüssy’s world tour cities. The release will be joined by a mini recycled clothing collection too. There’s a hoodie, skirt and trousers made in ripstop fabric containing at least 75% nylon (recycled from waste). The pieces lock in heat with Thermore EcoDown technology: a 100% recycled polyester alternative to duck down.
The very limited edition Nike x Stüssy Hand-Dyed AF1s will be available on the Stüssy. website on January 29th at 10am PST (6pm UK time).
