While Dior and PSG recently joined forces to sign a two-season contract, football star Kylian Mbappé will now be the face of Dior’s men’s collections and an iconic fragrance, under the direction of Kim Jones.
The luxury label founded in 1946 has reached a new milestone. Dior has just named French footballer Kylian Mbappé as the face of Dior’s men’s collections as well as ambassador of the brand’s famous “Sauvage” fragrance, which has until now been embodied by actor Johnny Depp.
“Dior is particularly pleased to welcome Kylian Mbappé, with whom it shares the same values of high standards and generosity,” the brand said in a press release, recalling in passing the player’s commitment to the “Premiers de cordée” association. This announcement, launched a few hours ago by WWD magazine, follows the partnership signed between PSG and the luxury brand at the beginning of September.
Indeed, the brand has become the official dresser of the club for the next two seasons. Since 2018, after the victory of Les Bleus at the World Cup in Russia, Mbappé has been wearing Dior’s signature looks at every off-field event. This was the case, for example, at the last Ballon d’Or 2021 ceremony.
