Louis Vuitton Collaborates with the NBA and Don C

This autumn, Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh has teamed up with the NBA league once again and invited Chicago designer Don Crawley. An explosive partnership that results in a luxurious wardrobe with a vintage feel.

Remember. In October 2020, to celebrate the end of the NBA championship, where the Los Angeles Lakers were crowned winners, Louis Vuitton unveiled a spring-summer 2021 pre-collection in partnership with the league. This year, Virgil Abloh is back with a new autumn-winter collection. Added value? Streetwear designer Don C, who has worked with Kanye West for a long time, also puts his stamp on several pieces of the capsule. The result is a vibrant tribute to 90’s pop culture and basketball. The collection evokes three key moments in a player’s life: the journey, the game and the press conference.

On the travel side, the range includes a beautiful quilted suit with Louis Vuitton’s floral print embossed on it. For the match, ultra-desirable casual jackets, shirts and shorts are the key pieces. On the other hand, the press conference inspiration offers more chic and polished pieces such as a sleek suit or a long black coat. In addition, a Louis Vuitton collection never arrives without its great specialty: leather goods. So the bags were reinterpreted with a multitude of details borrowed from basketball. The bags have been reinterpreted with a multitude of details borrowed from basketballs, such as ball-shaped pouches, travel bags with nets and the famous leather keepal.

The collection will arrive in shops on May 28 and on the Louis Vuitton website.
