After collaborations with H&M, Pull & Bear and more recently Halston, the streaming platform Netflix is getting back into the fashion world. The American company has just signed a first capsule collection with the Japanese streetwear label Beams.
This is not the streaming behemoth’s first attempt to touch the world of fashion – witness the Stranger Things collections with H&M and Pull & Bear or a luxurious 10-piece collection for the release of its new biopic series on designer Roy Halston Frowick. However, this is the first time Netflix has teamed up with a streetwear brand. And not the least. Indeed, the highly respected Japanese label BEAMS, born in the eponymous concept store created by Etsuzo Shitar in 1976, is a world-renowned reference in terms of style and know-how.
Not surprisingly, the capsule features a classic wardrobe perfect for binging our screens. It consists of oversized t-shirts, jogging pants, shorts and crewneck as well as various accessories: bobs, caps, socks and a comfy nylon cushion. The logos of the two brands in XXL version are spread out here and there while some pieces are dedicated to the very first animated film produced by Netflix: EDEN. A few graphic references to the robotic universe of the series are thus invited on white, black or turquoise blue T-shirts.
The collection is already available on the Japanese website of BEAMS (which has been delivering worldwide since February!)
