An amazing glimpse of the challenges facing elite athletes during their pregnancy and everyday life as mothers. The swoosh brand puts the spotlight on twenty women at different stages of their pregnancy or early motherhood to capture one of the most personal experiences of these athletes’ lives, only amplified by the extraordinary times of the pandemic. It was directed via Zoom to keep each individuals health and safety a priority and was compiled from more than 22 hours of intimate footage shot by the mothers featured and their friends and families.
We see the likes of Serena Williams, Alex Morgan, Perri Edwards, Bianca Williams, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Nia Ali along with everyday female athletes. One of them is Aurélie, better-known as @love.eat.smile on Instagram and co-founder of Flawless Yoga. This poetic and inspirational film coincides with Nike’s first dedicated maternity collection, Nike (M), now available on nike.com.
