The swoosh giant is continuing its eco-friendly “Move to Zero” journey. It’s pushing the boundaries of design and its heritage to unveil its eco-friendly summer 2021 collection with 9 silhouettes..
Nike is aiming to secure circular fashion’s place in the industry and designed a wide range of models for summer. From the Air VaporMax 2021 and the new Air Max Pre-Day to the Nike Blazer and legendary Air Force 1, all of them feature eco-friendly materials. Let’s start with the Air VaporMax 2021 which is one of Nike’s most sustainable shoes to date. The kicks are made using at least 55% recycled materials
The “Plant Cork” pack featuring the Air Force 1, Blazer and Daybreak is made from 20% recycled materials whilst the outsoles contain 9% recycled cork from the wine industry. The same goes for the Air Max Pre-Day made using 20% recycled waste. Then there’s the Noughties-style Air Max Genome and the Nike Crater Impact whose features bring the Space Hippie range to mind.
As for performance, the Cosmic Unity contains 25% recycled materials and a new greige colourway. It’s joined by two other performance silhouettes: the Air Zoom SuperRep 2 Next Nature and Nike Victory G Lite with ultra-breathable materials.
The 2021 summer “Move to Zero” pieces will be released throughout the season at Nike Store and selected partners.
