The world’s longest sneakers come from Adidas Originals by Tommy Cash, the Estonian rapper who’s as quirky and unique as this design.
“When I said to Adidas that I want to make the longest shoe in the world as our collab they were like ‘WTF tommy. ‘ But 5 months later here we are.” Surprise? Obviously. But less of a surprise if you know the rapper Tommy Cash, his simply unique musical world and how he’s always breaking down visual and aesthetic boundaries. The iconic Superstar is like a barmy artwork and will probably be at least a metre long with extra, extra long laces.
Beyoncé’s take on the Superstar may have had a mixed reception and a lot of ink spilled over it, but this design will be no different. The monochrome leather is white on one foot and black on the other. The heel features a laser engraving of Tommy Cash’s autograph, while the insole features a yin-yang design to represent “both the ‘angel’ and the ‘devil’ live in me at the same time.” You’ll have to enter a prize draw on the new Adidas CONFIRMED app to snap up the ultra-limited edition kicks.
