Vans collaborates with rapper Tierra Whack

After a recent Vans x A$AP Rocky collection, the skateboard brand continues to give carte blanche to prolific artists from the hip-hop universe. The proof is in this very first collaboration with the rapper and producer Tierra Whack, whose singular and crazy universe makes everyone agree.

Since her appearance on the scene a little over three years ago, Tierra Whack has won over everyone who has crossed her path. From her cinematic pop videos to her bold, devastating flow, the Philadelphia native is one of the most innovative phenomena of her generation. She has released tracks such as Unemployed, Mumbo Jumbo and the fiery Link.

His psychedelic, full-colour looks, perfected by the expert hands of his stylist Shirley Kurata, have not escaped the eye of Vans. The collection, which will be released on December 3rd, was designed by the rapper alongside Kurata and the Vans team. It features strong references to 80’s skate culture, combined with classic Vans elements. The range features a playful mix of colours, shapes, patterns and quotes.

Among the key pieces? A checkered Old Skool silhouette with multicolored “WHACK” on the upper and “Weird Hype and Creative Kids” on the sole. There is also a Style 36 in cream suede with blue accents, a multi-coloured Half Cab and a pair of yellow patent leather Standard Snow MTE boots. The shoes are accompanied by a range of textiles including a yellow pleated skirt, trousers, a sleeveless down jacket, crewnecks and an ‘It’s okay to cry’ t-shirt.

Visit Vans on December 3rd to copy this collaboration that celebrates enthusiasm and individuality!
